The 2025 roster features ten returning athletes from 2024 and one newcomer, Jennifer Goulet (Oshawa, ON), making her Nationals debut. Goulet shared her excitement about competing in her home province, “I am honoured to be chosen as part of the Ontario Boccia team. It has been a dream of mine and I have worked hard over the last year to reach my goal. I look forward to also playing pairs with Theresa from New Brunswick. We will be a unique girls pair. Go Team O!”.

Also new to the team this year is Provincial Performance & Wellness Coach, Kate Janoska (Sarnia, ON), “It’s an honour to join Team Ontario’s Boccia athletes as their Mental Health & Performance Coach for my first Nationals. As a former athlete, I know the dedication and heart it takes to compete at this level I’m so proud to support these incredible athletes as they represent
Ontario in Ottawa”. Kate will be joined by returning staff Tiffany Gaudette (Orangeville, ON) as Technical Analysis Coach, and Tammy McLeod (London, ON) as Tactical Analysis Coach.

2025 has been a big year for several members of Team Ontario, with two athletes representing Canada on the international stage. 2024 Canadian Boccia Championships gold medalist, Lance Cryderman (Sudbury, ON), competed at the Cali 2025 Americas Regional Championships in Columbia last month earning a silver medal in BC1 Individual event. Earlier in the year, Liza Puri made her international debut at the Santiago 2025 World Boccia Challenger in Chile, claiming a bronze medal in the BC1/2 Team Event with teammate Cryderman. Puri reflected on her experience in stating, “This year I had the opportunity to go to Chile, where I represented Canada for the first time on the international stage and won my first team bronze medal. I was very proud to sit
on the podium beside my teammates. It was an unreal feeling knowing that we accomplished something amazing. Teamwork makes the dream work!”. Both athletes will now compete at the RA Centre, alongside the rest of Team Ontario.

Individual play will be November 20 to 22 followed by team and pair play on November 23. Keep up with the action and get the latest news on the event webpage!
