What is Boccia?
Boccia is a precision ball sport similar to bocce, specifically designed for athletes with physical disabilities. The objective is to throw or roll leather balls (red or blue) as close as possible to the target ball, known as the “jack.” It’s a test of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship.

Provincial championships featuring qualified athletes in classifications BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4, BC5, Senior Open, and Junior Open.

The 2024 event in Kingston drew a record crowd and showcased top-tier talent like BC1 Paralympian Lance Cryderman and BC2 bronze winner Dominic Gomez—proof of the event’s rising popularity.

All levels of boccia (experienced, family, youth) welcome—athletes qualify via regional tournaments and Ontario Parasport Games.
